Has the Chinese government finally gone too far?

The Chinese government has been denounced in the past for human rights issues, censorship and oppression. However I think we can all agree #bacongate should be front and center.

The city of Chongqing has banned the smoking of bacon in an effort to reduce pollution and cut down on carbon emissions. The ban includes a possible fine of more then $800 US. This is an affront to bacon loving people around the world. When one person is banned from enjoying the crispy fatty glory which is Bacon, we are all oppressed.

We all agree that Climate Change is a global issue with drastic solutions which will effect the whole world. Without working together towards global solutions our children will be living in a world dramatically different then ours. Sacrifices must be made, with new solutions required in transportation, energy production, and industry. But this is a step too far, well beyond the pale. Would I want my children to live in a post-apocalyptic Mad Max world or a idyllic Utopian world living in harmony with nature?

My only question is: in which world does bacon still exist?... I rest my case.
